Condottiere

The territory of 13th century Italy is fragmented, the economy of the city-states is developing, but their troops are weak and poorly prepared. To protect themselves from attacks by their neighbors, they hire experienced soldiers of various nationalities who return from the Crusades in the Holy Land. The best warriors were the leaders of these mercenaries - condottieri.

In the strategy game Condottiere, players aim to gain control of four interconnected provinces. Provinces are played by players using their cards to bid. Not only will the highest bidder lose their bet, but all players - basically, players determine how many of their soldiers they will lose to win a province. At the same time, the special event cards make the fight unpredictable.
