Combining Arthurian legends and Celtic mythology with a unique vision, it allows for a deep and meaningful impact on the game world. A deep, branching storyline allows you to tackle challenges in a variety of ways, ensuring that no two games are the same. Difficult decisions or agonizing choices await around every corner, and seemingly insignificant tasks can reverberate with serious long-term consequences.
In a land slowly sinking into strangeness and conflict-torn; surviving each day is a challenge in itself. Starvation, disease, violent weather and random incidents conspire to end your journey. The Guardian Menhirs that ensured safe travel throughout the kingdom slowly turn dark, turning simple logistics into a fascinating puzzle. To overcome these challenges, your character develops along several conflicting lines, such as brutality/empathy or practicality/spirituality. These traits open up a rich selection of mutually exclusive skills and lead to different building strategies, making character development meaningful and deep.
Your developed character will be tested in dozens of combat and non-combat encounters. Sometimes you'll have to use brute force, but often diplomacy might be the better option. Whether you're fighting with your might or your wits, our unique diceless encounter system makes solving each conflict fun and exciting while keeping you immersed in the game.
In Avalon, behind every stone and every tree, a legend awaits. All places have their own rich stories and secrets to discover. Places and characters are often much more than meets the eye. As you slowly put together all the bigger pieces of the puzzle, the land will always have a surprise waiting for you just around the corner. Many secrets can only be discovered after several games.
