Southern Rail
Southern Rail is played on a map of the southeastern United States. When you start the game, the first two rounds are spent choosing stocks from the available companies and then the game can begin!
Each turn, players place a tracking cube on one of the companies whose shares it owns. The first cube can be placed on any of the hexagons, but subsequent cubes of the same company must be placed on adjacent squares of the same color. One to three cubes can be placed on each hex space (except for Atlanta). When a cube is placed in a city (there are cities of four colors on the square), then the railway's income increases by 1 - 4 dollars, depending on the color of the city.
When the tenth company cube is placed, players get points for various criteria - the highest income, the fewest shares owned, the most cubes on the square and the most different colors in the city grid - however, if two players have a tie in any of the criteria, then no one gets points.
After counting the points, the players have opportunities to receive new promotions and the cubes are placed on the field again. After the fourth scoring round, the game ends and the winner is the one who received the most points during the game.
