For leisurely and experienced players

Board games - entertainment that we never grow out of! Games are no longer just for children, they can be a very thoughtful and great gift for our grandparents too! What games would be suitable for older members of the family?

Word games

Not all grandparents are gaming fans who spend their free time collecting Katana points, building ancient civilizations, or exploring mysterious dungeons in one of the campaign board games. However, that doesn't mean they wouldn't be willing to play a game with their family.

Only One is the ultimate board game that kids, parents and grandparents can play together! It is a cooperative game where one of the players will be the leader. All players except the leader see a word that must be explained using only one word. All players write a single word association on special boards and then compare their answers, erasing any repeated associations. The unique words are shown to the driver, who now has one chance to guess which word is explained. A very simple game that will be fun to play at any age!

Who doesn't know the game "Scrabble" these days? This word building classic is also suitable for leisurely and experienced players.

Classic games with a modern twist

Almost every grandparent has played a game of chess , checkers or dominoes at least once in their lifetime. All of these well-known classics are still popular today, but there are also similar games with a modern twist.

Triple domino or "Trimino" replaces the classic domino fields with triangles, which turn the well-known game by 60 degrees!

"Onitama" is a modern form of chess where the goal of the game is to kill the opponent's sensei, or take the opponent's throne with your own sensei. But in this game you don't have to remember how each of the figures moves. Our move options are determined by 5 randomly drawn cards that will be different each time. Each player is dealt two of the cards and the rest is put aside. A player can move any of his pieces as indicated on the card. As soon as the move is made, the card is exchanged for the one on the edge of the square and will soon be at the disposal of the opponent. Plan not only your moves, but also which of the cards not to give to your opponent!

Gigamic's abstract two-player games such as Quoridor will also appeal to both young and old strategists who want a game where planning is more important than luck.

Abstract mind-sharpeners

The fast, fun and easy-to-learn tile placement game "Ubongo" will test not only the potential of our mind, but also its sharpness. Players will race against time and each other to solve brain teasers with different connectable shapes.

Everyone plays Ubongo at the same time. Everyone places a task and several game squares in front of them and tries to complete their task with the squares available to them as quickly as possible.

If strategic placement of tetra squares seems interesting, but you don't want time pressure from other players, then "Katamino" will be the right choice! A brainteaser with more than 100 tasks in which you have to match the pieces on the allotted playing field.
