11 games for more fun parties

The holiday season is approaching, and you will definitely go to a party, or maybe your friends will come to your party, or maybe every day with your family is like a party. HOW to prepare for these events? Can it be guaranteed that everyone will have something to do there? Yes, if you follow this party survival guide!

Situation #1 Lots of guests

Unbelievably, it happens at parties that a lot of guests have arrived, and in these situations we recommend these two games:

  • Codenames is a classic party game that can be played by an almost unlimited number of players. All that needs to be done is to divide into two teams and elect a captain for each team. The captains should give clues to their teammates so that they can remember them before the other team. What makes guessing quite unique is that all the words are already revealed on the table, but you have to be careful not to help the other team by inadvertently recalling their names.
  • Spyfall 2 incorporates the familiar "traitor" gameplay mechanics, but is very unique. It's good for a larger group of friends who are looking for a new, unique and fun communication game that doesn't require much lying. This game doesn't even really need a table to play and can be played at the dinner table.

Situation #2 Don't want to learn anything!

There is not always much time to tell the rules. Then these three games will be the right ones:

  • "Only One" is unique in that we are all on the same team. One is the guesser, who must guess the given word, for which everyone else gives a one-word clue. If multiple players give the same clue, those clues must be deleted. Also, clue givers are not allowed to talk! To leave!
  • "Black stories" - one player will be the leader who will answer the other players' questions about the story. Players must ask questions that can be answered with "yes" or "no". The goal is to get the full story. Could there be any simpler rules?

  • The Saboteur Series - Who can't play Saboteur? You?! Well then go - all you have to do is play a card or discard it. As dwarves, we must go for the gold. Unless you're a saboteur... Well, just hold back!

Situation #3 We are too stylish for board games!

Yes, yes, we know - teens and cools have enough problems to do something as awkward as playing board games. However, these games have been played by globally popular YouTubers and streamers:

  • Mimic Octopus is a stealth role-playing and deduction game for parties where players have to show off creatively and dare to pretend to be someone they're not.

  • "What Do You Meme?" and/or “Cards Against Humanity” are very simple, but also very funny. Each round, one is the judge and draws a sentence or picture, to which the other players choose one of their text cards as the most appropriate. Then the judge chooses the winner, who is awarded a point. Discussions and laughter never fail for all the options presented.
  • "Shit Happens" players try to evaluate and correctly rank various difficult life situations as accurately as possible. Each card represents a terrible event that could happen to you, such as being attacked by a swarm of bees or seeing your father bald.

Situation #4 Oh no, no one said there would be children!

Don't worry - we have something for the kids too. Big kids (or adults) will also have fun:

  • Cortex Disney will be able to sharpen all your mental abilities in tactile challenges, doubles, logical sequence, mazes, color puzzles and more. And all this together with colorful characters from the world of Disney! Why haven't your kids played this yet?
  • "Halli Galli Twist" is one of the most popular series of reaction games in the Baltics for both young and old. Make a move by revealing cards. As soon as exactly five objects of the same color or of the same type are visible on the exposed cards, players try to hit the bell. The first one to do so takes the face up cards. The object of the game is to get the most cards. Fast, easy and exciting. PROTECT YOUR FINGERS!
