Lacrimosa
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is dead. His last conscious act on his deathbed was composing the Lacrimosa part of his Opus Requiem. You, as one of his sponsors, will meet with the widow to participate in financing the work of the Austrian genius for the last time. Also, together with Mozart, you will remember and retell all your memories to make sure that when she writes her memoirs, she portrays you in the best light to go down in history as Mozart's most important patron.
In Lacrimosa, players take on the roles of patrons of the deceased musician, contributing their last contribution to the creation of the composer's works with their funding. During the game, you play in two different timelines: the present and the past. You now commission the missing parts of the Requiem to other composers to complete it. Elaborating on the events of the past, the game takes place in five stages where you contribute by buying new compositions from the composer to sell or exhibit, accompany him on various journeys through the major courts and theaters of Europe, and collect the necessary resources to support the musician during his career.
During the game, you play cards from a limited hand, which you will improve as the game progresses. These cards can be played either as actions or as resource generators, and players must optimize their resources and finances to support their best version of the story and relationship with Mozart.
