Board games - meaningful time spent
Now that many people have stopped running, a lot of free time has appeared. Not knowing what to do with your restless mind, your hands just itch to pick up your phone and search social networks or watch the next episode of a TV series. It's important to 'unplug' your brain, but you shouldn't get stuck in the process for too long. There are many alternatives that one can take up in their spare time and playing board games is one of them.
A fantastic way to bring together family, friends, colleagues and even strangers
Board game nights can be a reason to get together with your loved ones or meet new ones. We forget about modern technology for a moment and can look into people's eyes, let go of the wrinkles of a smile for a moment and create new, lasting memories. The little ones will also be happy that the parents, instead of sitting on the sofa and watching TV, are involved in a joint game.
We use the much needed communication skills
While playing games, we not only have a good time, but also learn and practice a lot. Communication is not only verbal, but includes various interpersonal skills. Games teach patience and respect for the choices and actions of others, stimulate diverse conversations and allow players to educate each other.
When playing Settlers of Catan , there is sure to be someone in the group who will think long and hard about where to place their next city. Instead of encouraging him to choose faster and continue the game, we can focus on the fact that this person does not want to make mistakes and likes to think one step ahead. Perhaps we can learn a good strategy by studying the thoughtful actions of others. There is always an opportunity to start a discussion with the players about taking the next step, thus looking at the situation from several points of view.
Games both develop young minds and help maintain old ones

Disconnect from reality
"Many people find their paradise in games"
After all, games help to relax and forget about everyday problems. Role-playing games are particularly excellent for this purpose. For a couple of hours, we immerse ourselves in a completely different world, where we can be anything - artists, warriors, princesses and princes, criminals or even animals. We are living a whole new story of life and enjoying the opportunity to do what would normally be unimaginable. Maybe we will do something quite ordinary in our company of friends, for example, we will bake bread, but how often do you get to bake a fresh, soft loaf of white bread in your own oven? Perhaps we will achieve greater goals, such as conquering three continents, which would not be accomplished in one day.
Games are games, and their main purpose is to let you have a good time. Educate, develop, have fun - whatever the ultimate goal, it will result in all three!
