As many of you already know, we are big game enthusiasts and each of our employees has their own taste when it comes to games. Some like long and complex strategy games, others like co-op, and still others like skill games. In any case, we share a great interest in everything related to board games and their culture, so some of our colleagues have agreed to tell us about the games that they find interesting and relevant at the moment.

This time, Brain Games recommends three gamer games.

A Game of Thrones LCG

The world of Westeros is ravaged by war, intrigue and strife. The Great Houses raise armies and meet in titanic battles, while their spies fight in the shadows. Across the Narrow Sea, after several years, the dragons have reawakened, while in the barren lands beyond the Wall, something unknown and sinister takes hold, threatening to destroy the world with cold and endless night. Westeros does not forgive mistakes and after all, only one game makes sense - the game of thrones!

A Game of Thrones LCG (Living Card Game) 2nd Edition game is forever evolving. Periodically, game expansions are released, giving players new opportunities to creatively develop and try to implement different strategies. Each player chooses which of the most important factions in Westeros to represent and creates their own unique deck of cards. Each faction has its own theme, strengths and weaknesses. The game in Riga has a very friendly commune that meets weekly to try out different fun combinations and also hone their winning strategies in preparation for local or international tournaments.

Betrayal on the House on the Hill

If you are looking for dangerous adventures, unpredictable twists and the possibility to play the game countless times, then Betrayal on The House on The Hill is the game you are looking for! 3 to 6 players will take on the roles of detectives and go on an adventure of about an hour, trying to escape from a haunted house. True, at no point should we forget that the haunted house not only does not want to let the players get out of it, but also tries to influence the minds of the players and make them play against the other players!
The base game has dozens of different scenarios, each of which is different, which will keep you feeling new for a long time. True fans of the game need not worry, because the game has a great expansion - Betrayal at House on the Hill: Widow's Walk .

Welcome to the Dungeon

When you want a fast but at the same time exciting adventure game, the first choice is definitely Welcome to the Dungeon and Welcome back to the Dungeon . Each play, one of the heroes (Barbarian, Wizard, Knight, Robber or any other available character) will go into the dungeon to fight the monsters that live there. Will he manage to get out alive or will the monsters defeat the hero - it will be decided by the players. Only the brave player who will believe in the power of the hero and is ready to go underground will claim the victory point - get two and win the game! BUT, if the hero does not get through, he will lose his life - one more such failure, and you will have to quit the game!

Both games can be played separately or together. Every play you will feel the tension in the air - to go underground or not? A great game to play in a company of up to 4 people, with an average game length of around 20 minutes.
